Hi cake friends!
You may remember last year that I made a Nightmare Before Christmas Cake, and I made a step by step tutorial for making Jack Skellington: http://whatanawesomecake.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/nightmare-before-christmas-cake-jack.html
Well, I was asked to make the same cake again for someone else. Here is how the 2nd cake turned out;
Whilst I was making this one, I decided to do a step by step tutorial for making Zero the dog;
The tutorial can be found on my facebook page; https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.319508148202893.1073741855.153594251460951&type=1
As always, if you have any questions then let me know! :-)
Hi! My name is Carrie and I love making and decorating cakes! I hope to show you how I've made my cakes, and hope you find this blog interesting and inspiring so that you can create your own! I've called this blog 'What an awesome cake' because that's the reaction I always love to get!

Book, Teacup and Glasses cake!
Hi Cake Friends!
This cake was made for a 70th birthday. The lady who asked me to make the cake showed me a picture (link is here; http://tinyurl.com/k3hlouf) of a cake that she had seen that she thought would be perfect. However she wanted some glasses added as well.
So this is what I made for her!

I had no idea how to make the teacup and saucer at first, so I looked online for a tutorial and found this one, which was really helpful! http://junipercakery.co.uk/blog/tutorial-edible-teacu/
There are lots more pictures of this cake on my facebook page.

Labyrinth Wedding Cake
Hi Cake Friends!
Happy Valentines Day to you all! I want to share my latest cake with you which was made for a wedding which took place yesterday,
The brides favourite film is Labyrinth, and she had seen an epic cake online which was made by the fabulous Tracey of Little Cherry Cake Company.
My cake is not nearly as epic, however I am really proud of it, and the bride loved it which is what counts!

As you can see, on the cake we have Sarah and Jareth, Ludo and the worm! On the back are also the door knockers :-)
Here are some close ups of Sarah and Jareth:
